SUMMARY

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP is a leader in business law, with a team of over 500 lawyers, and offices in Toronto, Montréal, Calgary, Ottawa, Vancouver and New York. 

Osler was working with Zync to refresh and modernize its brand, and when I joined the design team I took the lead on ironing out its very detailed brand identity, as well as developing and implementing a huge array of brand materials over a span of years.

  • Because Osler was a large, well established firm in constant need of design materials on a weekly basis, developing the intricacies of the brand identity was an ever moving target. To properly iron out all the extremely detailed elements took dedication and careful planning.

    Osler is constantly in the public eye, and so consistency was key. With such a huge array of design needs, from newspaper and magazine ads to conferences to annual reports and publications, we had to ensure Osler’s brand remained on-target. Especially with so many external suppliers and partners involved, developing an air-tight set of guidelines within the brand manual was essential.

    Today Osler continues to harness and develop upon all the work completed over years of intricate brand shaping done at Zync.
