SUMMARY
AECO Innovation Lab is a digital transformation consortium in the AEC sector. It strives to bring together experts, academics and government partners to provide collaborative, research driven solutions to industry challenges. By facilitating and supporting groundbreaking initiatives, AECO Innovation Lab aims to break down silos and increase productivity of AEC and government institutions.
As a daring new startup with big plans, AECO Innovation Lab needed a total branding package that would set them up as a bold, cutting-edge, digital solution provider, and would attract attention from potential stakeholders, government agencies and investors.

The goal was to create a dramatic, unique branding presence that felt very digital, innovative and forward-thinking in the AEC space. I was brought on to create this presence, and we chose to go with a striking black and electric-mint colour palette to demand attention.
AEC inspired imagery is set in black and white, cropped on extreme angles and in closeups to create a very dramatic, edgy and conceptual tone.
Patterns and blueprint-style graphics create visual interest while also hinting at the subject matter. Iconography and infographics help disseminate text-heavy content. Large typography and careful information layout keep the messaging fresh, modern and easy to read.
These sleek elements make the brand hard to ignore. AECO Innovation Lab is successfully growing and launching new initiatives, digitizing and taking the AEC space to the next level.
